
The Bernhard Center is the student union at WMU, and serves as a community center for campus life. Students gather at the Bernhard Center to socialize, enjoy meals, and engage in cultural activities. The Bronco Mall, located on the lower level, provides a convenient meeting place to relax or connect with friends.

The WMU Children's Place Learning Center is a NAEYC accredited early childhood learning center that offers flexible child-care options for students, faculty, staff and community members. The center partners with the WMU College of Education and Human Development to
provide high quality, professional care appropriate to each child's development.
The Western Herald is the student newspaper which highlights campus news, entertainment, and opinions about Western Michigan University. The Western Herald is available at any of the distribution boxes located on campus.

WMU Radio WIDR-FM, 89.1 is a student-operated noncommercial radiostation that serves the WMU campus and community. WIDR features contemporary music, news, sports, community and campus information, and also provides a place for students to learn about the broadcasting industry.
WMUK-FM, 102.1 is a National Public Radio affiliate owned and operated by Western Michigan University. WMUK provides a unique blend of news, music, and cultural programming to the Southwest Michigan area.
